We were thrilled last week to learn our company had won the CVC Employee Engagement Award for our garden. The award came with a $500 check for Lewis House! Go team!We also learned that several other corporations in our area are interested in digging up lawn and putting in gardens. Give us a few more years and we are going to see fresh fruits and vegetables replacing lawn cuttings all over the place.
Speaking of fresh fruits: This is garden clean up week (and rock picking week - my favorite) so we've been out in the perennial bed. The strawberries are up! No fruit yet, but it's just a matter of time.
